Prevent Dental Problems:

1. Good oral hygiene - brush and floss everyday. Don't eat or drink {other than water} between meals.
2. Have your teeth cleaned and examined by your dentist at least once every six months.

Treat Problems As Soon As Possible

1. Get necessary treatment as soon as possible for any of the following problems: pain, sensitivity to hot, cold or biting, tooth fracture, decay, gum problems such as bleeding, swelling, or a lump. Bad odor or bad breath that doesn't go away can also indicate a problem.
2. Ask about alternative treatment.
   1. Fillings: white {composite}, silver, gold, porcelain.
   2. Crowns: gold, porcelain-fused-to-metal, {base noble, etc} all porcelain, etc.
   3. Wisdom teeth: to extract or not.
   4. Orthodontics: whether or not to do it, when to begin.
   5. Implant vs. bridge.

If you have a dental problem (pain or swelling) or an injury to the mouth resulting in bleeding, loss of tooth and/or loosened tooth, telephone the office at (928) 782-4369 - follow the instructions given. If you are unable to contact Dr. Masillamoni, or another dentist on call, and need immediate help, go to the nearest hospital for emergency services.
